Terms of Service

MakeMyFileFit is a free web tool that compresses images (currently JPG, PNG, and WebP) so they fit under a maximum file size that you choose. All processing happens in your own browser. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, and no paid features, so no payment or refund terms apply. By using the site you agree to these terms.

• You are solely responsible for the files you use with the tool and for the results you download and distribute.
• You must have the legal right to use and process every file you open with the tool, including any necessary copyright or privacy permissions.
• You may not use the service for unlawful content or purposes, including content that infringes intellectual property rights, exploits minors, or violates applicable law.
• You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or misuse the website.

• We cannot guarantee that every file can reach every requested target size. When a target is not achievable, the tool tells you the smallest result it could produce instead of handing you a file over your limit.
• Output quality varies with the source image, its dimensions, and how aggressive your target size is. Compression may reduce visual quality, change the image format (for example PNG to WebP), or reduce dimensions.
• Very large images are processed at a capped working resolution so your browser does not run out of memory.

Always keep your original files. MakeMyFileFit does not modify, move, or delete files on your device, but we are not responsible for the loss, corruption, or alteration of your original files or of any output you produce with the tool.

You retain all ownership of your files and of the compressed results. We claim no rights to them, and we never receive them. The MakeMyFileFit name, site design, text, and code remain ours and may not be copied or republished without permission.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, add, limit, or discontinue features at any time, and we may make the site temporarily or permanently unavailable. We may also restrict access if the site is being misused or used in breach of these terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss of use, arising from your use of MakeMyFileFit. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date above shows the latest revision, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
