Privacy Policy

MakeMyFileFit is a browser-based image compression tool. The images you select are read and compressed by your own browser. They are not uploaded to us, not sent to any other service, and not stored anywhere by us. The only personal data involved is the standard website analytics described below, which runs only if you allow it.

• Compression runs entirely inside your browser tab using built-in web image APIs (Canvas / OffscreenCanvas) and a Web Worker. There is no upload step in the tool.
• Because your image is never transmitted, we never receive, view, copy, or store it.
• Nothing is retained after you close or reload the tab: the image and the compressed result exist only in your browser's memory, and the download you save is written by your browser to a location you choose.
• We do not use your images for AI or machine-learning training, and we cannot — we never have access to them.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names or addresses.

• Images and file names: never collected, because they stay on your device.
• Analytics data: if you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 collects usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address by Google), device and browser type, referring website, and interaction events. This is used only to understand aggregate usage of the site.
• Server logs: as with any website, our hosting provider processes the technical request data needed to deliver pages to you.

MakeMyFileFit does not use cookies for advertising or profiling. We store your analytics choice in your browser's local storage so we can remember it. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies or local identifiers to measure visits. If you reject analytics, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all.

You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy settings link in the footer of every page, or by clearing your browser storage for this site.

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — website usage measurement, loaded only after you accept analytics.
• Google Fonts — the site's typefaces are loaded from Google's font servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads.
• Our hosting provider — serves the website files to your browser.

We do not use advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party image-processing services.

The site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and our host is encrypted in transit. Because image processing happens locally and we hold no image files and no user accounts, there is no stored file data that could be exposed. We do not make any additional claims about security measures beyond what is described here.

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, the GDPR (and UK GDPR) gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent for analytics at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Analytics is processed only on the basis of your consent.

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.

The simplest way to stop analytics collection is to select Reject in the privacy settings. To request information about or deletion of any personal data associated with you, email us at the address below and describe your request; note that because we hold no account data, we may need details such as approximate visit dates to locate anything at all.

MakeMyFileFit is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
